Tommy Lu

Lion Tommy Lu, from the Glasgow Lions Club, was born and raised in Taiwan. At the age of 27, he came to the United States as a foreign student. Lion Tommy joined the Glasgow Lions Club in 1991 when he was 34. In his 31 years of Lions tenure, Lion Tommy has served as 3rd, 2nd, 1st vice president, King Lion for 6 terms, tail twister, scholarship committee, and attended numerous MD-22 conventions. At the district level, he has served as zone chair for 3 terms and region chair for 1 term.

Lion Tommy retired from Delaware Technical and Community College after 25 years of teaching including 9 years serving as the department chair of Information Technologies. Aside from his teaching career and Lions Club activities, Lion Tommy is also active serving local, regional, and national community organizations especially in the heritage language education fields.

Alan “Ted” Reiver

Alan T. "Ted" Reiver, from Wilmington, Delaware, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 94th International Convention, held in Seattle, Washington, USA July 4-8, 2011. Past Director Reiver is a floor and window coverings store merchant. A member of the Talleyville-Naamans Lions Club since 1983, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, region chair, vice district governor, district governor, council secretary, LEHP Coordinator, Rebuilding Lions Coordinator and multiple district international convention chair. He also served as CSF II group coordinator, district chaplain, Kusiak Lions Youth Foundation board chairperson and treasurer, Delaware Lions Foundation grants and loans chairperson, Lions Vision Research Foundation board member and as a faculty member/presenter at numerous Lions Leadership Institutes. Past Director Reiver is an Ambassador of Goodwill, a Second Century Ambassador, and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow. In addition to his Lions activities, Past Director Reiver is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Penn-Rose Civic Association and the Board of Delaware Association of the Blind. He has served on several boards of directors, including the Claymont Community Center, Edgemoor Community Center, Sellers Senior Center and the Floor Covering Association of Greater Philadelphia. Past Director Reiver and his wife, Ann, also a Lion and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have one daughter and three grandchildren.
