Lions are individuals who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local and world communities. By conducting service projects and raising funds, Lions strive to help those in need, wherever the need exists. The Lion’s motto is "We Serve".

Lions aim to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, support those in need through humanitarian aid, and encourage peace and international understanding.

The Lions of Delaware feed the hungry, assist after disasters, clean up in neighborhoods, raise funds for the visually impaired, orphans, and other causes, and run a variety of youth programs, mentoring youth as they pursue positive activities and carry out service projects.

There is a Lion! When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves, and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships, and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring individuals serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.

Delaware Lions and Lions around the world have been impacting lives both globally and locally for over 100 years. Here are just a few quick examples of how we are innovating humanitarian service with imagination, dedication, and a commitment to making the world a better place. How are we driving our Lions clubs forward? By thinking outside the box! Lions, our mission is to put our heads and hands together to reimagine service. With good communication and a clear vision, we can do anything! Our mission this year is to innovate, team up and have fun! Together, we can!

Delaware Lion Scott Michels and his band Dickens and Ballsworth have become international music sensations as the house band for the LCIF Tell-A-Thon. Hear the song International President Lion Brian Sheehan had them write to celebrate his theme of “Together We Can!”

For more than a century, Lions have worked together to encourage peace, enable prosperity and impact lives globally.
